Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Accountant will be part of the Finance department. He/she will be responsible for managing all financial transactions within PAUL. He/she will provide accurate quantitative information on our financial position, liquidity, and cash flows while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
As the ideal resource for this role, the successful candidate will be an ardent team player, with strong quantitative skills, including use and analysis of large data sets, highly analytic and critical mindset, detail oriented with high standards of quality, strong work ethic and self-starter
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the integrity of accounting information recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Support month end and year close processes by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.
Adhere to group reporting timelines and deadlines.
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Maintain list of company assets and their depreciation
Perform financial analysis and forecasting to support business decision making and strategic planning initiatives.
Stay current with accounting standards, regulations and industry trends and apply knowledge to enhance financial reporting processes.
Other duties
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Experience
BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
Additional certification (PA or ACCA) is a plus.
Work experience as an Accountant.
Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
