Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) is a limited liability company incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act. UEDCL owns the 33KV and below voltage electricity distribution networks and all the operational assets associated with the business currently leased to Umeme Ltd. The company monitors Umeme Ltd and other Concessionaires in Uganda, directly distributes of power in Ten (10) territories covering over 86 rural and border districts, operates a modern pole plant at Lugogo, and executes key rural electrification schemes on behalf of Government of Uganda.
Job Description
The Company is seeking to recruit qualified, competent and highly motivated Ugandan for the role of graduate Trainee- Finance. To provide financial and administrative support in the operational activities of finance department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Capture verified invoices and payments into the ledger.
Participate in stock management processes.
Carryout bank reconciliation exercise.
Issue invoices for tenants both rent and utilities
Generate tokens for power customers
Prepare payments and supporting documentation.
Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting option) or related discipline.
Computer literacy with competences in Microsoft office, Microsoft excel.
Self-driven, analytical skills, high level of integrity.
