ICPAU Announces 2024 CPA(U) and CTA Exam Schedule and Registration Dates
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has published the schedule for the 2024 Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA(U)) and Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) examinations on its website. The examinations will be conducted in three sessions: May, August and November 2024 as follows;
20—24 May 2024 (all courses)
19—23 August 2024 (CPA only)
25—29 November 2024 (all courses)
The above news were announced by Joan Abaasa, the Communications Officer at ICPAU, who issued a press release on 29 November 2023 to announce this information. She encouraged all potential candidates to enroll for these prestigious qualifications and improve their career opportunities in the accounting and tax profession.
Candidates can start registering for the May session from 1 January 2024. The registration process, fees, examination centers and other details can be found on the ICPAU website: https://www.icpau.co.ug/examinations.

The CPA(U) and CTA qualifications are aimed at developing professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality accounting and tax services in Uganda and beyond. The CPA(U) qualification covers topics such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, business law, corporate governance and ethics. The CTA qualification covers topics such as tax compliance, tax planning, tax administration and tax policy.
In response to this announcement, the Director of Harvest Training and Consultancy (U) Ltd, an approved tuition provider for the CPA(U) and CTA courses in Uganda, has also announced the January 2024 intake for prospective students.
