Job Description
We’re looking for Audit and Financial Reporting Specialists with expertise to join our Assurance financial reporting and audit technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading technical team whilst being instrumental in the growth of our business. Our technical teams support our clients and teams on complex financial reporting and audit matters as subject matter specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical accounting and audit support to clients and audit teams as a subject matter specialist.
Drive implementation of new financial reporting and auditing standards.
Keep up to date with changes to financial reporting and auditing standards.
Perform financial statements pre-issuance reviews.
Review financial reporting and audit technical consultations.
Compile financial statements.
Be a champion of our Global Audit Methodology and technology-led audit tools.
Be a member of our Professional Practice Group as a financial reporting or audit technical specialist.
Qualifications and Experience
Interest and enthusiasm in financial reporting and audit technical aspects.
Constantly developing your understanding of market trends and technical developments and willingness to share your knowledge to support our clients and teams.
Ability to understand unique business scenarios and applying financial reporting and auditing standards in due consideration of those unique aspects.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to multi-task.
To qualify for the role, you must have;
First Class or Second Class - Upper bachelor’s degree in: Accounting, Finance, any other Business-related field, Statistics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics), Law or Computer Science.
Full professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or other recognised qualification).
At least 2 years of experience in a similar or related role, or otherwise demonstrate ability and interest in handling complex auditing and accounting (IFRS/IPSAS) matters.
