Enimiro Products Uganda Ltd having its brand name (Enimiro) is an agribusiness dealing in the purchasing, processing and exporting of vanilla, dried fruit, and Coffee. Enimiro has extension operations in Central, Eastern & Western Uganda. We aim at doing business while positively influencing the lives and livelihoods of farmers around our various projects with modern farming techniques as well as promoting organic farming. We purchase directly from farmers and supply high quality products to an international customer base.
Job Description
Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts based on historical data and future projections. Analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Preparation and presentation of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts based on historical data and future projections. Analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
General Ledger Management: Overseeing the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
Financial Analysis: Conducting thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud. Monitoring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations by preparing and reviewing tax returns, filings, and payments. Advising on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Audit Support: Coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits. Providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors and addressing any audit findings.
Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies in financial processes and implementing improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Supervision and Training: Providing guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff. Conducting training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
Advisory Role: Advising management on financial matters, including investment decisions, cost reduction initiatives, and strategic planning. Serving as a trusted resource for financial expertise within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 3 years' in a related role and worked for one of the recognized auditing firms
Period: Full time
Area of Affectation: As per job requirements
Job requirements:
Must have completed CPA or ACCA
Experience in preparation and presentation of financial statements
Auditing and financial reporting skills
Proficiency in planning, organizing, and coordinating budgets
Risk management skills
Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of accounting software especially Tally
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Strong understanding of tax principles and compliance requirements
Knowledge of international Financial reporting standards (IFRS)
Great interpersonal and communication skills
