The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) invites eligible students to apply for the 2025 Student Scholarship Programme (SSP)—a prestigious opportunity to pursue the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) course at no cost.

About the ICPAU Student Scholarship Programme

Launched in 2019, the ICPAU Student Scholarship Programme (SSP) is a financial aid initiative that supports academically exceptional students to pursue the CPA qualification. The programme has supported six cohorts so far, and now 10 new scholarship slots are available for the 2025 intake.

  • Compliance Manager

  • Head of Reporting

  • And even founders of their own accounting firms!


What Does the Scholarship Cover?

Recipients of the 2025 SSP will have all ICPAU-related fees covered, including:

  • Registration fees

  • Annual student renewal fees

  • Examination fees

  • Study materials


Scholarship Terms & Conditions

The scholarship is valid for 2.5 years from registration.

  • It does not cover re-sitting of any failed papers.

  • Beneficiaries are expected to complete the CPA course within the stated time.


Who is Eligible?


To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree in 2024

  • Hold a First Class or Second Class Upper Division from a recognized public or private chartered university

  • Submit a 300-word original essay explaining why they aspire to become a professional accountant

  • Provide their official academic transcript

Note: Essays must be original and not generated by artificial intelligence or copied from the internet.



Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by 30 April 2025.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
